ADAD presented the first ever Bloom Festival on June 6-7, 2009

Festival Programme:

Saturday June 6th

3:00-4:45 p.m. - Kizomba Jam with Iris De Brito and Chernoh Sallu; Venue: Clore ballroom, Royal Festival Hall; Admission: Free

5:00-6:00 p.m. - Dance Encounters East Africa, Talk by Kenyan Dancer/Choreographer Opiyo Okach; Venue: The Blue Room, Royal Festival Hall; Admission: £5

8:00 p.m. - Mixed Bill in Purcell Room, Queen Elizabeth Hall. Performances by Freddie Opoku Addaie, Vocab Dance, Mohammed Dordoh, Imani Jendai, Avant-Garde Dance, Tolo Ko Tolo and Paradigmz. Venue: Purcell Room, Queen Elizabeth Hall; Admission: £13

Sunday June 7th

3:00-4:15 p.m.- Caribbean Dance Open Class with Jackie Guy; Venue: Clore ballroom, Royal Festival Hall; Admission: Free (Participants must be 16+)

4:30-5:30 p.m. - Film Screening: Movement (R)evolution Africa; Venue: Front Room, Queen Elizabeth Hall; Admission: Free

6:00 p.m.- Mixed Bill in Purcell Room (same programme as Saturday); Admission: £13
