ADAD is a national organisation that supports the practice and appreciation of dance of the African Diaspora.

We want dance of the African Diaspora to be visible and valued as part of the British cultural experience.

ADAD has a unique role, working on behalf of talented dance artists who are part of the African Diaspora, to support their
development and raise the profile of their work.


New national dance industry body launched - One Dance UK

One Dance UK is the new industry body formed of the bringing together in April 2016 of four key dance organisations:
Association of Dance of the African Diaspora (ADAD), Dance UK, National Dance Teachers Association (NDTA) and Youth Dance
England (YDE).

On Monday 7 December 2015, 450 dance professionals packed the Royal Society of Medicine in London - with hundreds more watching online - as a new industry body for the dance sector was launched and its new name and brand - One Dance UK - was unveiled.
