Recently, whilst listening to my favourite Soca community station, I heard something which caused me to look round quizzically at the radio.There were not one, but two, adverts for Soca and bashment dance classes right here in East London. This was a real strident step forward (no pun intended), from Soca and Ragga ‘robics’. Which by the way was the closest one could get to Caribbean dance on a community level?...
