RE:GENERATIONS - International Perspectives on Dance of the African Diaspora

RE:GENERATIONS is a conference where dance artists, writers, academics and audiences can explore current research in the field of 'dance of the African Diaspora' (sometimes referred to as 'Black dance' or 'African Peoples' Dance'). The event will also provide an opportunity to learn about diverse approaches to education and training in the field and to participate in shaping future practice.
Key-note speaker, Brenda Dixon-Gottschild (Professor emeritus at Temple University, Philadelphia) will set the scene for an exciting two days presentations, workshops and performances from UK and International artists. Hosted in the heart of London, this event promises to be a highlight on the city's dance calendar in 2010.
The conference partners are the Association of Dance of the African Diaspora (ADAD), London Metropolitan University, State of Emergency Ltd and IRIE! dance theatre.
How much does it cost?
The full cost for the two days of the conference is £100 per delegate (£70 concession). This gives delegates access to all talks, workshops and performances. Lunch and coffee breaks will be provided. There is a £70 early-bird rate (£45 concession) for those who register before September 15th, 2010.
